Where does Amazonia source its ingredients from? 

Amazonia sources its ingredients locally in Australia and from around the world, depending on where the ingredient is natively grown. Amazonia Raw Proteins are made from Organic Golden Pea Protein grown in Alberta, Canada, and Organic Brown Rice Protein grown in Northern China. These regions are where the highest quality, nutrient-rich form of these ingredients can be found. To ensure customers receive nothing but the best, any ingredients that do not meet Amazonia's high level of quality standards are not accepted. All raw material ingredients are produced in food safety-approved facilities and undergo stringent testing.

Amazonia Raw Proteins are also Australian Certified Organic (excluding Raw Protein Collagen Plus). To gain this accreditation, the ACO traces each and every ingredient back to the source to ensure it has been grown, harvested and processed in a way that complies with the ACO standards. This means the products are heavy metal tested and free from any synthetic chemicals, pesticides, fertilisers and GMOs.

Is your packaging recyclable? 

Unfortunately they aren't recyclable as there is a lining in the inside that is necessary for it to be food grade and to protect the nutritional components of the powders. The paper tubes however are made from 100% recycled material and are BPA free. The canisters can also be re-used or up-cycled. Amazonia are currently working hard to develop sustainable packaging solutions for the near future.

Are your products gluten free? 

Yes, all Amazonia products are gluten free.

Are your products certified Halal? 

No.

Are your collagen products plant-based? 

No, unfortunately no collagen supplements can be derived from plants only. Therefore, the collagen source for Amazonia products is marine-based, which is believed to be the most sustainable option.
